Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chattooga Indians (Summerville, GA), 4-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Fannin County improves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Rebels travel to Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA) to play the Warriors in a 1A D-I Region 7 game on Tuesday, September 10. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 1-8. Gordon Central lost 17-3 in their recent league game against Armuchee (Rome, GA)

The Indians now hold a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Dade County for a 1A D-I Region 7 game on Saturday, September 7. Chattooga will play a Wolverines squad coming off a 21-0 league win over Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-4.
