The Choctaw Yellowjackets softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Putnam City Pirates to 0 in the Yellowjackets non-league win on Thursday.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Owasso for a 6A District 3 battle on Tuesday, September 10. Choctaw will confront a Rams team coming off a 9-0 league win over Deer Creek (Edmond, OK). The Rams record now stands at 16-2.

With the loss, Putnam City moves to 2-12 on the season. The Pirates travel to Kingfisher (Kingfisher, OK) to confront the Yellowjackets in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Yellowjackets come into the battle with a record of 12-2. Kingfisher lost 3-2 in their recent non-league battle against Alva (Alva, OK)
