The Marion County Eagles softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Furlow Charter School Falcons to 0 in the Eagles league win on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Taylor County for a 1A D-II Region 6 battle on Tuesday, September 10. Marion County will confront a Vikings team coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Furlow Charter School moves to 0-3 on the season. The Falcons host Crawford County (Roberta, GA) to confront the Eagles in a 1A D-II Region 6 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 6-7. Crawford County lost 7-1 in their recent league battle against Schley County (Ellaville, GA)
