South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs (Kennesaw, GA), 6-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, South Paulding improves its record to 6-6 on the year. The Spartans host Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA) to play the Wildcats in a 5A Region 5 game on Tuesday, September 10. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 7-7. Villa Rica lost 1-0 in their recent non-league game against Kell (Marietta, GA)

The Mustangs now hold a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Paulding County for a non-league game on Monday, September 9. Kennesaw Mountain will play a Patriots squad coming off a 11-8 non-league win over Cass (White, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-12.
