Next, the Tigers meet the Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 9. Metter will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA).

The Panthers (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA). The Tigers go into the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Swainsboro was routed by Toombs County (Lyons, GA), 4-0, in a league challenge.
