The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA) and the visiting Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA), observed Statesboro's softball team get by Pinewood Christian by a tally of 6-3.

The Blue Devils (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Terrors go into the 5A Region 1 bout with a 5-7 record. In their last bout, Glynn Academy tipped Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA), 15-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars (Louisville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 6. Pinewood Christian will attempt to advance on its 9-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to David Emanuel Academy (Stillmore, GA).
