The Smoky Valley Vikings volleyball squad (Lindsborg, KS), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Abilene Cowboys (Abilene, KS)

With the win, Abilene improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Wamego (Wamego, KS) to encounter the Red Raiders in a North Central Kansas battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Red Raiders go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Wamego won 2-0 in their recent league battle against Chapman (Chapman, KS)

The Vikings now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rock Creek for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. Smoky Valley will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Clay Center (Clay Center, KS). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-2.
