In Thursday's league challenge, the host Medford Raiders volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Antigo Red Robins.

The Raiders (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeland (Minocqua, WI). The Thunderbirds enter the Great Northern challenge with a 4-3 record.

Next, the Red Robins meet the Ladysmith Lumberjacks (Ladysmith, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Antigo will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Lumberjacks enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Elmwood/Plum City (Elmwood, WI).
