Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Boyd County improves its record to 5-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 9-0.

The Red Devils now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Daniel Boone for a non-league test on Friday, September 6.
