The Troup County Tigers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Callaway Cavaliers to 0 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now have a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Whitewater for a 3A Area 2 outing on Tuesday, September 10. Troup County will play a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Central (Carrollton, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Callaway drops to 4-11 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Rutland (Macon, GA) to play the Hurricanes in a 2A Area 2 outing on Tuesday, September 10. The Hurricanes come into the outing with a record of 5-13. Rutland lost 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Sumter County (Americus, GA)
