In Thursday's league challenge, the host Canton Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Cleveland Central Wolves.

The Tigers (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenville (Greenville, MS). The Hornets come into the Class 5A Region 2 challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Greenville beat O'Bannon (Greenville, MS), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wolves play the Yazoo City Indians (Yazoo City, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Cleveland Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 3-2 league loss to Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS).
