Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) and the host Epiphany Falcons (New Bern, NC), observed Wayne Christian's volleyball team top Epiphany by a count of 3-1.

The Eagles (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC). The Patriots enter the NCISAA Coastal Plain Independent contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Arendell Parrott Academy notched a victory over Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Falcons meet the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders (Harrells, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 9. Epiphany will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Crusaders enter the contest with a 3-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Kerr-Vance Academy (Henderson, NC).
