In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Fulton Hornets volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Marshall Owls.

The Hornets (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO). The Thunderbirds come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record.

Next, the Owls play the Brookfield Bulldogs (Brookfield, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 9. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to Trenton (Trenton, MO).
