In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Hokes Bluff Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Gaston Bulldogs.

The Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Alexandria (Alexandria, AL). The Valley Cubs come into the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Alexandria lost by Spain Park (Hoover, AL), 1-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL) in a 2A Area 10 challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Gaston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Sardis (Boaz, AL).
