Tennessee High School Volleyball - Gibbs over Union County

Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) and the visiting Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN), observed Gibbs's volleyball team top Union County by a count of 3-0.

The Eagles (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Chiefs enter the AA District 2 contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Cherokee was knocked off by Volunteer (Church Hill, TN), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Patriots battle the Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN) in a AA District 2 contest, on Tuesday, September 10. Union County will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record.
