In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Gretna Hawks volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Liberty Minutemen.

The Hawks (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Magna Vista beat Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Minutemen meet the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).
