The Holmes County Central Jaguars edged the host Yazoo City Indians volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Jaguars confront the Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS) in a Class 5A Region 2 game, on Thursday, September 12. Holmes County Central will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 8-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over North Side (Shelby, MS).

The Indians (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 5-0 record.
