In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Holy Spirit Catholic Saints volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Pickens County Tornadoes.

The Saints (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against South Lamar (Millport, AL). The Stallions come into the 1A Area 9 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, South Lamar was nudged by University Charter (Livingston, AL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tornadoes meet the Paul W. Bryant Stampede (Cottondale, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 9. Pickens County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
