The Winona Tigers topped the host Houlka Wildcats volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Humphreys County Cowboys (Belzoni, MS) in a Class 3A Region 3 game, on Tuesday, September 10. Winona will attempt to advance on its 7-6 season record. The Cowboys go into the game with a 0-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS).

The Wildcats (2-10) will now prepare for their game against West Lowndes (Columbus, MS). The Panthers go into the Class 1A Region 4 game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, West Lowndes was dropped by Eupora (Eupora, MS), 3-0, in a non-league game.
