The Pike County Central Hawks topped the host Magoffin County Hornets volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Hawks confront the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 7. Pike County Central will attempt to advance on its 4-6 season record. The Warriors go into the game with a 6-4 record after their 2-0 league loss to Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY).

The Hornets (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles come into the District 57 challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Johnson Central beat Martin County (Inez, KY), 3-0, in a league challenge.
