The Perquimans Pirates volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Washington County Panthers to 0 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Tarboro for a Four Rivers 1A outing on Tuesday, September 10.

With the loss, Washington County drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to play the Red Barons in a Four Rivers 1A outing on Tuesday, September 10. The Red Barons come into the outing with a record of 4-6.
