In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Pike Road Patriots volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Russell County Warriors.

The Patriots (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Montgomery Catholic (Montgomery, AL). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Montgomery Catholic beat Marbury (Marbury, AL), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Warriors play the Valley Rams (Valley, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Russell County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Notasulga (Notasulga, AL).
