Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL) and the visiting Plainfield North Tigers (Plainfield, IL), observed Yorkville's volleyball team top Plainfield North by a count of 2-0.
The Foxes (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Romeoville (Romeoville, IL). The Spartans enter the Southwest Prairie contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Romeoville was knocked off by Joliet West (Joliet, IL), 2-1, in a league contest.
Next, the Tigers battle the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 7. Plainfield North will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL).
