The Port Gibson Blue Waves topped the host Wesson Cobras volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Blue Waves confront the Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS) in a Class 3A Region 7 game, on Tuesday, September 10. Port Gibson will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 8-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over North Pike (Summit, MS).

The Cobras (9-6) will now prepare for their game against Hazlehurst (Hazlehurst, MS). The Indians go into the Class 3A Region 7 game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Hazlehurst gained a win over Jefferson County (Fayette, MS), 3-0, in a league game.
