Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) and the host South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), observed Yorktown's volleyball team top South County by a count of 3-0.

The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen enter the Liberty contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, George C. Marshall was knocked off by James Madison (Vienna, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Stallions battle the West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) in a Patriot contest, on Tuesday, September 10. South County will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Wolverines enter the contest with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 league loss to West Springfield (Springfield, VA).
