In Friday's non-league match, the host V.R. Eaton Eagles football squad scored a good 21-0 triumph over the Braswell Bengals.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Northwest (Justin, TX). The Texans go into the 6A Region I District 4 battle with a 1-1 record.
The Bengals now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Royse City for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Braswell will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 49-14 non-league win over Rowlett (Rowlett, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.
