The Lakers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (Tyler, MN). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton routed Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's (Sleepy Eye, MN), 20-6, in a league match.

In their next game, the Eagles play the Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks (Dawson, MN) in a Mid South - White test, on Friday, September 12. Lac qui Parle Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blackjacks come into the test with a 2-0 record after their 49-0 league win over Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN).
