In Friday's league match, the visiting Pearl City-Eastland Wildcats football squad scored a good 22-0 triumph over the Morrison Mustangs.
The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Galena (Galena, IL). The Pirates go into the Northwest Upstate Illini battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Galena prevailed over Benton/Scales Mound IL/Shullsburg (Benton, WI), 34-14, in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Durand/Pecatonica for a Northwest Upstate Illini battle on Friday, September 12. Morrison will play a Rivermen team coming off a 34-21 league win over Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Rivermen record now stands at 2-0.
