In Friday's league outing, the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Foard Tigers.

The Red Devils (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers enter the non-league outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Watauga Patton (Morganton, NC), 2-2, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Lincoln for a Western Foothills 4A/5A test on Tuesday, September 9. Foard will clash with a Knights team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
