Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT), 8-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Middlebury advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT) to clash with the Eagles in a Lake test on Wednesday, September 10. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-1.

The Thunderbirds now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Region for a Capital outing on Tuesday, September 9.
