The Bryan Bears softball team (Omaha, NE), was nipped 6-5 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Omaha South Packers (Omaha, NE)

The Packers (6-5) will now prepare for their bout against Buena Vista (Omaha, NE). The Bison go into the A District bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Buena Vista was nipped by Plattsmouth (Plattsmouth, NE), 13-2, in a non-league contest.

The Bears now hold a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Ponca for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 6. Bryan will face a Indians squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE). The Indians record now stands at 1-9.
