Roosevelt Roughriders (Johnstown, CO) supporters exited the stadium happy Friday as they observed their softball team get by the host Rifle Bears (Rifle, CO), 12-11 in a non-league match.

The Roughriders (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Mead (Longmont, CO). The Mavericks go into the non-league match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Mead was nipped by Frederick (Frederick, CO), 6-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Prairie View Thunderhawks (Henderson, CO) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 6. Rifle will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Thunderhawks go into the game with a 3-5 record after their 11-5 league loss to Northglenn (Northglenn, CO).
