The Panthers (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Riesel (Riesel, TX). The Indians go into the non-league battle with a 15-14 record. In their last battle, Riesel achieved victory over Teague (Teague, TX), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

The Lions now own a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maypearl for a 3A Region III District 18 battle on Tuesday, September 9. Blooming Grove will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Ferris (Ferris, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 12-13.
