In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Libertas Academy Charter Lions volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Mount Everett Regional Eagles.

The Lions (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Monument Mountain (Great Barrington, MA). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Monument Mountain was tipped by Lee (Lee, MA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Veritas Prep Charter (Springfield, MA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 9. Mount Everett Regional will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The go into the test with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Hampden Charter School of Science (Chicopee, MA).
