Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Blanchard Lions (Blanchard, OK) and the visiting Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK), witnessed Blanchard's softball squad tip Elgin by a count of 8-6.

The Lions now sport a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tuttle for a non-league match on Monday, September 12. Blanchard will face a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Weatherford (Weatherford, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Elgin moves to 4-3 on the season. The Owls travel to Kingfisher (Kingfisher, OK) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 13. The Yellowjackets go into the match with a record of 0-2.
