Hampton Hornets (Hampton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting McDonough Warhawks (McDonough, GA), 19-0 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lovett for a 4A Region 5 challenge on Thursday, September 8. Hampton will face a Lions squad coming off a 13-2 league win over Luella (Luella, GA). The Lions record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, McDonough falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Warhawks host Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA) to face the Tigers in a 4A Region 5 challenge on Thursday, September 8. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Stockbridge lost 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA)
