In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers softball team scored a close 10-8 win over the Jenkins Warriors.
Coming up next, the Buccaneers battle the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 outing, on Thursday, September 8. McIntosh County Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 10-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Bryan County (Pembroke, GA).
The Warriors now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to New Hampstead for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 7. Jenkins will confront a Phoenix squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-5.
