Next up, the Trojans battle the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Northwest 1A contest, on Thursday, September 8. Alleghany will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 3-1 league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC).

With the loss, North Stokes moves to 4-5 on the year. The Vikings host Patrick County (Stuart, VA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 7. The Cougars go into the contest with a record of 5-1. Patrick County lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA)
