North Carolina High School Volleyball - Swain County tips Murphy

September 6, 2022: Bryson City, NC 28713

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), saw Swain County's volleyball squad nip Murphy by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Swain County upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Maroon Devils travel to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) to play the Braves in a Big Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Thursday, September 8. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Cherokee won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)

The Bulldogs now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Andrews for a Big Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Thursday, September 8. Murphy will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-6.
