The Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Southview Cougars to 0 in the Wildcats league victory on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Napoleon for a Northern Lakes game on Thursday, September 8. Northview will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-4.
The Cougars (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Maumee (Maumee, OH). The Panthers enter the Northern Lakes game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Maumee was dropped by Springfield (Holland, OH), 3-0, in a league game.

SYLVANIA - In the first Crosstown Showdown, Northview was able to defeat Southview in straight sets, 25-12, 25-12, 25-15 to move to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the NLL.
Northview was lead by junior setter, Natalie Kerchevall, with 4 kills, hitting .444, a team-high 15 assists and a team-high 3 aces. Northview was also led by seniors Kam Hunt with 10 kills, hitting .643, and 9 digs, and Sydney Hires with 9 kills, hitting .412 and 3 aces. All thirteen players from the Northview roster provided a boost in the total team victory for the Wildcats. The team passed a 2.19 and was lead by junior libero, Jordyn Pakulski and senior defensive specialist, Dani Wardrop both passing 2.5 and 13 digs and 3 digs respectively. Junior middle blocker, Claire Smith posted 6 total blocks and 4 kills, hitting .273.
