The Mountain Island Charter Raptor held off the host Christ the King Crusaders soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league match.

The Raptor now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Pine Lake Prep for a non-league match on Monday, September 11. Mountain Island Charter will encounter a Pride squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Pride record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Christ the King drops to 1-5 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC) to encounter the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Thursday, September 7. The Buccaneers come into the match with a record of 0-2.
