The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) and the host Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM), saw Penasco's volleyball squad nip Pecos by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Penasco upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Panthers host Legacy Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Silverbacks in a non-league bout on Friday, September 15. The Silverbacks go into the bout with a record of 1-1.

The Panthers now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Valencia for a non-league bout on Friday, September 8. Pecos will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Gallup (Gallup, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-0.
