Baconton Charter Blazers (Baconton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Blazers now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southwest Georgia STEM Charter for a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Thursday, September 7.

With the loss, Miller County falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Early County (Blakely, GA) to battle the Bobcats in a 1A D-II Region 1 challenge on Thursday, September 7. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Early County lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA)
