LaFayette Ramblers (LaFayette, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Ramblers now sport a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Ridgeland for a 3A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, September 7. LaFayette will face a Panthers squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Adairsville (Adairsville, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Calhoun falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Cass (White, GA) to face the Colonels in a 5A Region 7 challenge on Thursday, September 7. The Colonels enter the challenge with a record of 4-10. Cass lost 7-4 in their recent league challenge against Dalton (Dalton, GA)
