Georgia High School Softball - Tift County gets by Colquitt County

The Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) softball nipped the host Colquitt County Packers (Norman Park, GA), 9-8 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Blue Devils now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host Northside for a 6A Region 1 challenge on Thursday, September 7. Tift County will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-8.
With the loss, Colquitt County falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Packers host Valdosta (Valdosta, GA) to battle the Wildcats in a 7A Region 1 challenge on Thursday, September 7. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-5.
