The Galva Wildcats held off the host Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Wednesday's league test.

The Wildcats now have a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Annawan for a Lincoln Trail test on Monday, September 11. Galva will confront a Braves team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL). The Braves record now stands at 6-3.

The Tornadoes (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Princeville (Princeville, IL). The Princes enter the Lincoln Trail test with a 5-7 record.
