Illinois High School Volleyball - Clifton Central tips Tri-Point

The Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) volleyball tipped the visiting Tri-Point Chargers (Cullom, IL), 2-1 in Wednesday's league outing.

With the win, Clifton Central upgrades its record to 5-7 on the year. The Comets host McCracken County (Paducah, KY) to face the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 9. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 11-4. McCracken County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Normal University (Normal, IL)

The Chargers now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Gardner-South Wilmington for a River Valley outing on Tuesday, September 12. Tri-Point will face a Panthers squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Momence (Momence, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-8.
