In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Glendale Pirates volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Illinois Valley Cougars.
The Pirates (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Elkton (Elkton, OR). The Elks come into the 1A Skyline battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Elkton achieved victory over Crow (Eugene, OR), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Waldport Irish (Waldport, OR) in a 2A Valley Coast battle, on Tuesday, September 12. Illinois Valley will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Irish come into the battle with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Willamina (Willamina, OR).
