The Ooltewah Owls topped the host McMinn County Cherokees volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Owls now have a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Howard Tech for a AAA District 5 test on Thursday, September 7. Ooltewah will confront a Hustlin' Tigers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN). The Hustlin' Tigers record now stands at 0-2.

The Cherokees (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Cleveland (Cleveland, TN). The Blue Raiders enter the non-league test with a 17-7 record. In their last test, Cleveland gained a win over Mercy (Louisville, KY), 2-0, in a non-league test.
