North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mount Airy over Starmount

September 6, 2023: Boonville, NC 27011

In Wednesday's league contest, the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) volleyball squad were winner over the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Granite Bears battle the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a Northwest 1A contest, on Thursday, September 7. Mount Airy will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Alleghany (Sparta, NC).

With the loss, Starmount moves to 0-8 on the year. The Rams travel to Elkin (Elkin, NC) to battle the Buckin' Elks in a Northwest 1A contest on Thursday, September 7. The Buckin' Elks go into the contest with a record of 1-8. Elkin lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Surry Central (Dobson, NC)
